The Uguccione Ranieri di Sorbello Foundation is offering an ITALIAN LANGUAGE COURSE for foreign Opera Singers who want to improve their skills in the Italian Language.
Singing in Italian is a unique opportunity to:

study the Italian Language with qualified teachers

to improve one’s knowledge of diction, pronunciation and comprehension of Opera Librettos with the guidance of specialized instructors

sing in concert in Umbria’s finest locations

take part to cultural activities in the town of Perugia and the surrounding environment

to meet other singers
In addition, upon completion, students will receive a certificate of attendance, as well as a DVD of the final concert. The best students will be recommended to Opera Theatres in the region.
WHERE
The course will be held in the 16th century Palazzo Sorbello situated in the fascinating heart of Perugia’s old town, within walking distance of all major monuments and attractions.
The Palazzo is home to the Uguccione Ranieri di Sorbello Foundation and to a House Museum and welcomes visitors in its wonderful, ancient rooms.

Course Director: Stefano Ragni (Italy – Morlacchi Conservatory in Perugia)
Special Guest: Sybille Vogel (Germany – Opera Theatre in Mannheim)
Singing Tutor: Alberto Bustos (Argentina –Università per Stranieri di Perugia)
The course is offered in two options:
A – from Wednesday 18th to Friday 27th of July (includes 2 concerts, a number of cultural tours in addition to the teaching program) – Option A is especially intended for foreign singers who, while improving their language skills, want to experience a full immersion in Italian culture. The price is € 1.500,00*
B – from Monday 23rd to Friday 27th of July (includes 1 concert and 1 cultural tour in addition to the scheduled teaching program) – Option B is particularly suited for foreigners already living in Italy or coming from other European countries. The price is € 600,00*
* includes accommodation, breakfast, one meal a day, all classes and cultural tours and activities.
