Director of the Town Art Museum of Ascoli Piceno and of the Art gallery “Vittore Crivelli” in Sant’Elpidio a Mare, teacher of History of Modern Art at the Faculty of “Lettere e Filosofia” of the University of Macerata, since 1996 he has been the regional vice-president of FAI (Fondo Ambiente Italiano) and director of the Centro Studi sui Giochi Storici; he is honorary member of the ADSI (Associazione per le Dimore Storiche Italiane) and member of the Accademia Marchigiana di Lettere, Scienze ed Arti.
He is the author of many essays and articles on the history of art in the Marche from the 14th to the 19th century and has contributed to the organization of some important exhibitions.
