The Library and its heritage

The Library currently comprises about 20,000 volumes, divided into four sections and a collection of documents. It has recently been enlarged by deposits on the part of scholars and family collections (see: Acquisition of new book collections). Since 1998, when it was opened to the public, it has maintained its reputation as a high quality library specializing in a number of different fields.
